Who is a notary?

 

A Notary is a qualified lawyer, a public officer and a member of the third and oldest branch of the legal profession in the United Kingdom. A Notary in England & Wales has many of the same responsibilities as a Notary in Civil Law European countries.


What does a notary do?

 

A Notary prepares and executes under his official seal and signature all types of public and private documents for use abroad and ensures full compliance with all legal requirements. A Notary keeps a full record in his register of the instrument formalised in his presence.
