Frequently requested services

Notarising powers of attorney for the sale or purchase of foreign properties

This usually occurs when purchasers or sellers cannot travel to complete the purchase abroad (Spain or Florida in many cases) and therefore they need to appoint a power of attorney to complete the transaction for them in the foreign country.  This is usually a power given to a solicitor or notary in that country.

These documents usually have to be sent to the Foreign Office for what is called an apostille.  This is the legal requirement, which I can carry out for you.

Certifying copies of degree certificates and other qualifications

This usually arises when people are taking up employment abroad and need their qualifications to be notarised and then to be sent to the Foreign Office for the apostille. The documents can then be couriered direct to the employment establishment and saves you having to deal with the courier service yourself.

Completing forms where couples wish to marry in a foreign country

This can often be trickier than it seems and the local requirements of the country concerned have to be checked very carefully.

Completing consents for young people to travel abroad without their parents

Or for young people to travel in the company of someone other than a parent. Again, it is important to seek advice to ensure that the forms are completed correctly.

To administer oaths when completing affidavits for use abroad

This often arises where there are court proceedings or when people are giving their consent to relatives in their home countries so that they can sell property for the benefit of all persons.

The verification and certification of English company documents

Including Certificates of Incorporation, Memorandum and Articles of Association, Affidavits/Oaths, Statutory Declarations, Copy Documents, Written Statements, Application Forms, Maritime Bills of Sale, Ship Mortgages.
